Then, this mixture of CO2 and CBD is sent through a third chamber, which is kept at a low pressure and high temperature to allow the CO2 to rise to the top of the chamber. Just as the supercritical CO2 rises, the cannabinoids fall to the bottom of the chamber, where it is then collected as pure CBD oil.
Unlike shoddy liquid solvent extraction methods, supercritical CO2 extraction considerably reduces the risk of contaminants entering the finished product – which is crucial for maintaining purity in our CBD products.
